Shipping Locations

Gifts to Britain can deliver gifts to most locations within the U.K. There are some restrictions for fresh items as well as weekend delivery. Shipping costs are included for delivering to England, Scotland, and Wales, however there is an additional fee to ship to Northern Ireland. We cannot ship fresh food items to certain locations due to concerns about maintaining their required temperature throughout the delivery.  Please refer to the table for post codes that are ineligible.

Order Turnaround Times

Orders can be delivered within 48 hours, weekends and holidays excluded. As an example, orders placed over the phone or on our website before midnight on a Monday EST. can be delivered as soon as Wednesday in the U.K. You can place an order well in advance of your desired delivery date, as well. For example, you can place and order today and have it delivered next week or month.

Reserving Stock/Christmas Delivery

Ordering early is a great way to secure the gifts you want as it reserves the stock for you. It’s worth noting that last year, many items were out of stock by the end of November/early December. However, it’s important to understand that ordering early does not guarantee a specific delivery date, especially if you select a date close to Christmas (e.g., December 21st or 22nd). While most gifts are typically delivered on time or within 1-2 days, it’s essential to be aware of  potential delays due to increased pressure on delivery companies during this time of year. This year, if a gift doesn’t arrive before Christmas, it is likely to arrive around Dec 27-29. Please select your delivery dates with this in mind. Fresh flowers, hampers with perishable goods, such as ham and smoked salmon, are sent in the week leading up to Christmas, so bear in mind that if two or more gifts are ordered they could arrive on separate days.

Delivery/Courier Information

Most hamper/basket orders are sent via courier (DHL, FedEd, or similar) and flower orders are sent via overnight Royal Mail. In the event the intended recipient is not there to receive the parcel it will be left with a consenting neighbour or a contact card will be left to arrange for a subsequent delivery. Gifts to Britain will be responsible for 2-3 delivery attempts to the address provided by the Customer. Any additional delivery attempts or re-direction of the parcel may result in additional charges. Deliveries generally occur during daytime hours between Monday to Friday. If your recipient is unlikely to be home during this time we strongly suggest you consider having the parcel sent to their work address, a friend or family member, or the like.

Descriptions & Photos

The description “hamper” is used in a general sense. Descriptions and packaging are shown for most gifts. Wine vintages may change throughout the year. While photography and descriptions are intended to be accurate, we reserve the right to substitute items of similar or greater value if for any reason those stated are unavailable. Plates, glasses, vases and other props are not included unless stated in the description.

Replacement Policy 

We want you and your gift recipient to be happy. In the unlikely event that your gift package arrives damaged or in an unsatisfactory condition we will replace either the damaged or unsatisfactory items at our expense. The order may be eligible for a refund instead of a replacement if the recipient prefers. 

Return & Refund Policy

Given the nature of food items, no returns can be accepted. Refunds are only available for orders that are cancelled 7 business days in advance of the scheduled delivery date. The refund amount will be credited to the customers account within 24-48 hours.
